1. Place of business
Digital Forensics Group, a division of Reynholm Technologies Pty Ltd operates from Shop 8 / 15 Welch Street, Southport QLD 4215, Australia. We do not maintain a New Zealand office. New Zealand devices may be couriered to our Australian laboratory, or worked on remotely where supported.
2. Regulation
Our investigators are licensed under the Queensland Security Providers Act 1993. We are not licensed as a Private Security Personnel under the New Zealand Private Security Personnel and Private Investigators Act 2010 (PSPPI Act). We do not perform activities in New Zealand that require a New Zealand licence under the PSPPI Act.
3. What we can do for NZ clients
- Forensic examination and reporting on devices and data sent to our Australian laboratory.
- Remote acquisition of cloud accounts where the account holder consents and provides credentials.
- Expert reporting and expert witness testimony in New Zealand proceedings, by video-link or in person where permitted.
4. What we will not do
- On-site surveillance, interviews or licensed investigator activities physically conducted in New Zealand.
- Anything that would require a New Zealand certificate of approval or licence we do not hold.
5. Cross-border data
New Zealand client data brought into Australia for examination is handled in line with the Australian Privacy Principles. We can hold or process data under additional contractual privacy terms on request.
6. Governing law
Engagements with New Zealand clients are governed by Queensland, Australia law unless we agree otherwise in writing.
